What Is Outclimbed?
Outclimbed is a startup directory for startups, SaaS products and side projects. You can list a website or an X profile, and every listing is ranked by points. Each listing on the wall is called a climb.
The core idea fits in one sentence: money gets you on the wall, and your share link moves you up it.
How Ranking Works
Every climb's rank is calculated with one simple formula:
rank = base points + bought points + earned points
Base Points
The minimum entry is $10, and it gives you 10 base points. These points are permanent and act as your floor. A climb never drops below 10 points and never falls off the wall.
Bought Points
Every dollar above the first $10 adds one point. Bought points never expire and never decay. You can pay more at entry to start higher, or top up at any time to climb. Next to every position on the wall you can see exactly how much it costs to take that place.
Earned Points
Every climb gets its own share link. When someone follows it, they land on the wall with your climb highlighted. You earn:
+1 point for each new person who reaches the wall through your share link.
+5 points when one of those people buys a place of their own, even if they do it weeks later.
Earned points count at full value for 30 days. The referral is also remembered for 30 days, so a later purchase still counts toward your climb. After that, earned points drop off, which is what keeps the wall moving.
Why You Can't Buy a Permanent #1
On Outclimbed, money holds its value, but it doesn't guarantee the top spot forever. A climb above you may be earning points faster than you through its share link. If you send enough people, you can outrank climbs that paid more than you did.
This creates a fair balance. A founder with a budget can start high immediately. A founder with an audience can climb by sharing. And because earned points fade after 30 days, standing still costs you rank.
Full Transparency on Every Listing
Transparency is the foundation of Outclimbed. Every climb on the wall publicly shows:
Its total points and current rank.
How much was paid for it.
How many points were bought and how many were earned.
How many clicks it has sent to the listed product.
Its category, the date it was added and the X account of the maker behind it.
There are no hidden promoted positions inside the ranking. What you see is exactly how the wall was built.
All-Time Wall and Daily Boards
Outclimbed has two ways to look at the ranking:
All-time wall - the main leaderboard, where bought points hold forever.
Daily boards - each UTC day gets its own ranking, which closes at midnight UTC. Past days stay available, so every day has its own record.
Daily boards are especially useful on launch day. List your product the day it goes live, share your link in your launch posts, and compete for the top of that day's board.
Categories
Climbs are grouped by category, so visitors can browse products in their field. Current categories include Developer, Software, Health, Marketing, Design, Ecommerce and Productivity.
More Than One Leaderboard
Points aren't the only thing Outclimbed tracks. The wall also highlights:
Brought the most people - climbs that sent the most new visitors, with paid signups ranking first.
Most clicks sent - climbs that received the most clicks over the last 30 days.
Latest activity - a live feed of new entries and visitors sent through share links.
This gives visibility to makers who bring real traffic, not only to those who pay the most.
Traffic You Can Track
Clicks from the wall to listed websites carry UTM parameters with Outclimbed as the source. That means you can see the visits Outclimbed sends in your own analytics tool, instead of taking our word for it.
Public Site Statistics
We apply the same transparency to Outclimbed itself. The homepage shows how many people are online and how many visitors the site had today, with a link to public statistics. You can decide whether it's worth listing based on real numbers.
Advertising on Outclimbed
Besides climbs, Outclimbed offers a separate advertising slot for brands that want visibility in front of founders and makers. Advertising is kept apart from the ranking, so it never changes anyone's position on the wall.

We want to be clear about expectations. Outclimbed is not a replacement for your own marketing, and a listing doesn't guarantee a specific amount of traffic or sales. It is a transparent, public place where founders and makers discover products, and where the audience you already have works in your favor.
